Meet The Phonathoners!
COB's 2011-2012 Annual Fund Phonathon Ambassadors

When you get a call from a student Phonathon Ambassador, please take a few moments to speak with them.  The call is much more than just about money.  It is The College's chance to update your records, make sure you are receiving invitations to important alumni events, and learn some of the new and exciting happenings at your alma mater.  Of course, our progress and growth would not be possible without your help with the Annual Fund.  When the students ask for your gift, please listen and know that any amount you can share makes a difference and improves our Annual Giving Percentage.  The Phonathon Ambassadors will explain everything during their conversation with you.

Thank you for your time and your annual support.

Meet the students behind the call.

Lowrell Edgecombe

In Lowrell’s second year as a student of Law & Criminal Justice and second year as a phonathon caller, this future corporate lawyer is sharpening her tools of rhetoric and eloquence as she conveys her cause of scholarship to alumni.  During phonathon sessions, the only time we hear this President’s Scholar is on the numerous occasions when she blows her whistle to signal that she’s received a pledge.  She’s quiet, calm, and serious about raising big bucks for The College!

Kenneth Kerr
Kenneth Kerr is a 3rd Year Education Major and is in his second consecutive year of calling at the phonathon. Kenneth’s "made to be a movie star” voice always charms Alumni as he updates them on all that is new and exciting at COB. He also coaches kids’ gymnastics and is an avid dancer. He keeps everyone entertained and energized on calling breaks with all the latest moves!

Shaniece Pinder

The newest of the group, Shaniese, is a first year student at COB and is a rookie to phonathon calling. But let this be no indication of her calling talents! Shaniese is a gifted go-getter, who has taken to phonathon calling like a duck to water, as she piles stacks of Alumni pledges high each night.
